Where’s the Hype?

Have you been to a USF sports game recently? Most likely you haven’t. School spirit on campus is seriously lacking but there is no clear reason why. For a school with such a rich athletic history, one would think that students would support the teams more but that is simply not the case. This is just not our concern, check out this article and this one in the Foghorn as well.

This is an issue on campus but the reasons for it are unexplainable. Are students uninterested? Does no one like sports on campus? To help us and the campus understand why school spirit is lacking please take this survey.

It’s time for a change USF students. Our athletic teams need our support. Having fans cheer you on gives teams a home court advantage and raises their level of play, leading to more victories. Let’s pack those stands and help our teams out. Go Dons!!
